Brian Murphy was born and raised in Pennsylvania and they occasionally let him back across the border. He spent a lot of his early years in New England where he graduated from the Northeast Broadcasting School in Boston.

He started in radio in Keene, New Hampshire and then traveled up and down the eastern seaboard working at stations in Norfolk, Virginia and Philadelphia before arriving at Oldies 103.3.

If you hear an extra bit of smile in Brian's voice when he's playing Soul Deep by the Box Tops, it's because it's one of his favorite Oldies. He's in love with golf, pro football, fast cars, and people who smile a lot - not necessarily in that order.

Here's Brian's description of an almost perfect day. He was on vacation in Mexico during Superbowl week a couple of years ago. He played 18 holes of golf on a championship golf course, then went to an outdoor restaurant and watched the Superbowl on a big screen TV with a bucket of ice cold Coronas. After the game, he took a dip in the pool, and later sat in the jacuzzi under the stars with a Margarita and a fine cigar. Oh, he also won the money in the golf match.

Brian has a daughter whom he absolutely adores. Her name is Kelli.

He vows to do the following three things in this lifetime:

Win back all the money he's lost to Oldies 103.3's Paula Street on the golf course - that's so he can afford the trip to Hawaii.
Work in oldies radio until they drag him out.
